Half Moon Lake
The Half Moon Lake Sue and Sheila cabin at is in Western Wisconsin, next to Balsam Lake or Milltown. It got it's name because it is shaped like a Half Moon. The logo was designed by Kent Bank. He also was the first Logo sales person on the lake, featuring the Half Moon and Loon logo. Prior to that logo, there was a large walleye with the words Half Moon. (Sheila and Sue are working on revitalizing the fish logo to offer). There is much history on the lake and Martha McMahon pulled together a wonderful book called Memories of half Moon Lake. To summarize, it is the people who make Half Moon such a wonderful lake to live on. Through the years families have enjoyed the crystal clear waters, the loons calling, 4th of July boat parades, fishing, boating, waterskiing, bull frogs bellowing, glorious sunsets, sailiing, picnics and family. Of course there are also the winter months with all that goes with a frozen lake, under a blanket of snow. Fireplaces warming the cabins, cross country skiing, snowmobile races with the Smith boys, Ice skating, and even an occassional visit from an airplane. (just ask Chuck Knapp!)
